24th May 2020                                        The Seventh Sunday of Easter

Buckingham Parish Church is operating on-line.

Look at 2 Timothy 4: 1-5 for this week’s challenge.

Welcome to Kate: our new curate is Kate Pellereau and she arrived last week. She and her puppy Charlie Parker are settling into their new home in Chandos Close, and Kate starts at BPC in July. We look forward to meeting her, on Zoom, at two meters, and eventually in church itself.

All activities continue on-line or via social media and Zoom

Welcome to Buckingham Parish Church.

If you are new here, this section is for you!

Say hello by sending us an email & fill in a Welcome Card if you would like to become more involved. Have a look through our website

Children: We have always had great provision for children & we are creating new services for our new virtual world; eg, see pyjama prayers on our website.

Streaming: We are maintaining our streaming service & are aware that we may now be reaching a wider audience than we have in the past. The staff team are working hard to develop and evolve this service and would value constructive feed back from both our congregation and any who are now tuning into Buckingham Parish Church, and then moving onto our website.

Sermons: are recorded and available for later viewing. Access may be restricted and if you encounter problems please email

Covid 19: See our guidance page on our website at and keep yourself up to date with the government and NHS websites.

Remember the new slogan!

“Stay Alert – Control the virus – Save Lives”

Staying in touch: If you are vulnerable, alone, sad, scared or lonely we can help. Contact Jo Wigley on 07512 274423 or

Prayer Ministry: While the church is closed we can pray at home; if you have specific prayer needs please contact Jo Wigley at

Today’s Collect

O God the King of glory,

you have exalted your only Son Jesus Christ

with great triumph to your kingdom in heaven:

we beseech you, leave us not comfortless,

but send your Holy Spirit to strengthen us

and exalt us to the place where our Saviour Christ is gone before,

who is alive and reigns with you,

in the unity of the Holy Spirit,

one God, now and for ever.

Pray through the week for:

·           those who are ill including Sharon Webb and others known to us

·           all those who mourn, that they may be comforted by God’s presence.
