Buckingham Parish Church

Covid-19

During such a difficult and unprecedented time Buckingham Parish Church has strived to help as many people within the church family and the local community as possible.

Services - We have four services a week and 3 of them are live streamed on our YouTube page. At 11am on Sundays we have a family service which is via zoom.
Service times that are live streamed are currently Wednesdays 10am, Sunday 9am and Sunday 6pm.

The big ring round – During the first two weeks of lock down the staff team had the privilege of speaking to almost all of our church family. We were able to quickly establish who needed help and who could offer to support others. Phone calls and emails have continued and this has become a lifeline for those who are lonely and/or vulnerable.

Shopping – as a result of the ring round people have been able to shop and collect prescriptions for those who cannot get out. This is also continuing. If you need shopping or prescriptions collected please contact Jo Wigley here

Prayer team – a dedicated group of people have been praying for all those affected by the corona virus. If you would like to submit a prayer request please do so here

CypFam – children and families and youth ministries have all gone online. They have their own Facebook page, Instagram and YouTube channels.

Foodbank - During the current covid 19 crisis donations of non perishable food to the Food Bank can be made on Tuesday mornings between 10 am and 12 noon at the car park entrance of The Centre in Verney Close.
Financial donations can be made please contact Keith Croxton on 01280 815100 for details.

Zoom – Zoom has become a great place to have prayer meetings every weekday morning at 9am and we have also been using it to have a virtual coffee and chat after watching each service online. Please click here to see when you can next zoom in!

Church Building - During this second lockdown the Church Building continues to remain open for personal prayer between 10am till 3pm. Don't forget to scan the QR code displayed on the notice board as you enter. Please use the hand sanitiser provided and stick to the social distancing rules.

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning.

Where and When

We meet at BP Church for our Sunday Services starting at 9am, 11am or 6pm. When you arrive, you should be greeted by someone on our Welcome Team who will be wearing a Welcome lanyard.

We serve tea, coffee and biscuits before the services begin. It is a great way to meet people, or simply take time to find your bearings. All refreshments are free.

What about my kids?

Click here for our kids programme.

The kids group activities vary depending on the age but usually there is a friendly welcome, bible stories, testimonies, praying, music, craft, drama, fun games and free play. Please pick your children up as soon as the service finishes.

Getting Connected

Connect Groups

While Sundays are a great way to meet new people, it is often in smaller gatherings that you can really get to know someone. Being part of one of our small groups allows you to make new friends, share together and support each other. We have a variety of groups that meet throughout the week, some afternoons and some evenings. Check out Connect Groups and see if there’s one that you could join, or we can put you in touch with a small group leader who will be more than happy to invite you along to their group.

Serving and Volunteering

If you want to get involved in the life of the church and help us make Sundays run smoothly, you can sign up to serve on a team.
