Buckingham Parish Church

danny rodgers, curate.

I am delighted to be serving my curacy at Buckingham Parish Church for two reasons. Firstly, I instantly connected with Will and thought he is a fantastic church leader from whom I could learn so much about faith and ministry. Secondly, when I visited the church late in 2015 I immediately could see that this is a place where the Spirit is at work and the kingdom of God is growing.

I have been married to Alison for five years. I think we could be described as childhood sweethearts, having been together since we were teenagers. We met at a youth congregation (a church designed for teens) in Harrow, the church in which I came to faith in Jesus when I was about 15. It was here that I began to exercise leadership and to sense God calling me to church leadership and potentially ordained ministry

After studying for my degree in theology and mission at All Nations Christian College, I have spent the last 6 years in youth ministry. I have loved working with young people and seeing many come to know Jesus, grow in their relationship with God, and begin to discover their spiritual gifts. However, I have to say I am really looking forward to a new season of life and ministry which will be free of chasing consent forms and all-night sleepovers!

I am a huge Arsenal fan and look forward to completing the quadruple next season. I love sport and will be looking for people to play tennis, squash, badminton and football with as soon as I arrive!

My prayer is that the Lord will enable Alison and I to be a blessing to the whole church and together we will see the Kingdom come in Buckingham in the years ahead!

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning.

Where and When

We meet at BP Church for our Sunday Services starting at 9am, 11am or 6pm. When you arrive, you should be greeted by someone on our Welcome Team who will be wearing a Welcome lanyard.

We serve tea, coffee and biscuits before the services begin. It is a great way to meet people, or simply take time to find your bearings. All refreshments are free.

What about my kids?

The kids group activities vary depending on the age but usually there is a friendly welcome, bible stories, testimonies, praying, music, craft, drama, fun games and free play. Please pick your children up as soon as the service finishes.

Getting Connected

Connect Groups

While Sundays are a great way to meet new people, it is often in smaller gatherings that you can really get to know someone. Being part of one of our small groups allows you to make new friends, share together and support each other. We have a variety of groups that meet throughout the week, some afternoons and some evenings. Check out Connect Groups and see if there’s one that you could join, or we can put you in touch with a small group leader who will be more than happy to invite you along to their group.

Serving and Volunteering

If you want to get involved in the life of the church and help us make Sundays run smoothly, you can sign up to serve on a team.
