Buckingham Food Bank
If you don’t have enough food to eat, we can help! We run a local Foodbank distributing non-perishable and fresh food in Buckingham and the surrounding villages. Simply ask to be referred by:
Citizens’ Advice by calling 03444 111444
Your doctors’ surgery
Our team of volunteers will then deliver supplies directly to your home, or confidentially through your referring agency. We also have nappies, toiletries, female sanitary products, and other special items on request and can take note of special dietary needs e.g. allergies or intolerances.
This service covers short-term emergencies such a sudden unemployment or loss of benefits. Therefore it’s crucial that the underlying issues leading to your food crisis are also dealt with, which is why it is important you seek help from an agency such as Citizens Advice and the others listed above. Sorry, we do not take calls direct from the public. Those referring you will advise us of your food needs including the number food parcels you may require.
We are monitoring the current situation and will open an emergency food bank as and when the need arises. In the meantime, we are open for donations at the following times at The Centre, Verney Close:
Tuesday 10 - 12 (car park)
Tuesday 2 - 4 (main entrance)
Thursday 10 - 12 (main entrance)
We can't accept fresh food or baby food but will gratefully accept most other things.
Thank you for your generosity!
Or if you would like to give a donation please click here for more details.
lease be aware that items dropped off in Tesco & Waitrose stores do not go to your local Buckingham Foodbank.
If you need help with wider issues in your life and need someone to talk to, do please contact firstname.lastname@example.org or one of the other churches in the town who are there to listen.
