Buckingham Parish Church

Staycation 2-4 October 2026

Revival Ready: Revitalising the Church

Join us for a fun-filled and spiritually enriching staycation weekend as we explore what it means to be a church that is revival ready. Together, we will reflect on how we can grow in belonging, serving, giving, and being deeply connected in community, as we seek God's renewal for Buckingham Parish Church.

From Friday evening through to our celebratory Sunday service, where all congregations will gather to worship together, there will be something for everyone. The weekend will include dedicated kids' and youth provision during sessions, engaging seminars, Saturday evening entertainment, and opportunities for prayer throughout the staycation.

We are delighted to welcome back Revd Paul Perkin and Christine Perkin, as our guest speakers. In 1987, long before church planting became part of the national church agenda, Paul and Christine led the second church plant from Holy Trinity Brompton to St Mark's Battersea Rise, a church that has since planted many others over the years. They are widely respected Bible teachers, known for holding Word and Spirit closely together in ministry. Christine is also a highly regarded speaker with a fruitful women's ministry.

As they speak to us on the theme we pray this will be a time of spiritual refreshment, encouragement, and renewed vision, helping us move forward together on a path of renewal as a church family. Please sign up as soon as you can so that it helps us with the planning.

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning.

Where and When

We meet at BP Church for our Sunday Services starting at 9am, 11am or 6pm. When you arrive, you should be greeted by someone on our Welcome Team who will be wearing a Welcome lanyard.

We serve tea, coffee and biscuits before the services begin. It is a great way to meet people, or simply take time to find your bearings. All refreshments are free.

The kids group activities vary depending on the age but usually there is a friendly welcome, bible stories, testimonies, praying, music, craft, drama, fun games and free play. Please pick your children up as soon as the service finishes.

Getting Connected

Connect Groups

While Sundays are a great way to meet new people, it is often in smaller gatherings that you can really get to know someone. Being part of one of our small groups allows you to make new friends, share together and support each other. We have a variety of groups that meet throughout the week, some afternoons and some evenings. Check out Connect Groups and see if there’s one that you could join, or we can put you in touch with a small group leader who will be more than happy to invite you along to their group.
